SOCIALIST FIGHT STATEMENT: GENERAL ELECTION 2017 REVIEW

Class politics returns to Britain
10/6/17

The widely proclaimed return of two party politics in this election is the return of class politics in Britain. The statistics show the middle ground is giving way; Conservative (Tory) at 42.4% was its highest share of the vote since 1983. 1959, at 49.4% and 1955, at 49.7% are the Tory post war highs. Labour’s at 40.2% was its highest since 2001. Its highest post war was 1951 at 48.8%. Their share in 1945 was 47.8% and in 1966 it was 47.9%.

Introduction
In this centenary year of the Russian Revolution, the single greatest progressive event in human history, we recognise the global class faces great dangers but we are also confident that great opportunities will arise for those who continue to fight for that programme of world revolution. The crisis unleashed by subprime mortgages and the Lehman brothers collapse of 2008 still reverberates in the global economy. This unresolved crisis of debt and falling rates of profits, endemic to the capitalist mode of production itself, as Marx analysed, has engendered the rise of national chauvinism and economic protectionism.

TRUMP MOVES ON TO ADVANCE THE IMPERIALISM'S AGENDA

As Trump's populist electoral approach is hijacked by the establishment, he moves on to advance the imperialism's agenda

Obama’s eight-year legacy as the empire’s commander in chief became consolidated abroad as ultra-interventionist through the implementation of policies that varied from parliamentary coups in regions such as Brazil, Argentina, and Egypt to terrorizing drone military wars in most parts of the Middle East.

Domestically, the working class vanguard recognizes him by his constant assault on minorities by creating a police state that killed many young black lives and escalated the deportation of Latino and Muslim immigrants to numbers never seen before. His fake demagogy of “hope” unveiled his true imperialism agenda: to deepen America’s working class exploitation, but most importantly to escalate terrorism in the Middle East and destabilize the BRICS by pushing for the implementation of a new cold war.

HANDS OFF SYRIA!

New drums of humanitarian intervention
Hands off Syria!
09/04/2017
P. Kar, KED
This article was originally published in Greek on April 6, a few hours before the US strikes against Syria.

1990, a few weeks before the US attacked Iraq. The picture depicts Nayirah, who presented herself as a nurse in a Kuwaiti hospital, and went on to testify that the Iraqi army threw babies out of their incubators, leaving them to die ‘on the cold floor’. It would be later revealed that she was actually the daughter of the Kuwaiti embassador to the US.

The liberation of Aleppo from the clutches of the reactionary opposition and the subsequent stream of victories of the Syrian Arab Army and its allies forced the US government to put its tail between its legs and temporarily accept the reality on the ground: the defeat of its proxy armies and, along with them, the defeat of an important part of its strategy on Syria and the…

TRUMP INAUGURATION - SWL-LCFI PAMPHLET

The Election of Trump: An Existential Threat to the Organised Working Class in the USA and Globally
20 - 01 - 2017
Liaison Committee for the Fourth International Statement

As a working class, we must unite all oppressed to oppose the imperialist ruling class at home and its imperialist maneuvers around the world!

More than ever it is necessary to unify our class, women, whites, blacks, Muslims, Indians, Asians, Latinos, LGBTQ and immigrants against the rising police state. Donald Trump is an oafish, far-right racist, Islamophobic, sexist, misogynist homophobic, ablest bigot who rose to power with the support of a far-right constituency that includes white supremacists and fascist groups such as Ku Klux Klan. His victory has greatly strengthened these groups’ ideology as it has also happened in Britain after the Brexit, in Europe and internationally.

Racist attacks on immigrants are proliferating and are bound to advance strongly in the next years. We are for black self-defense, as the Black Panthers defended themselves in their fight against the police state that will get a big boost under Trump.

    1. The final liberation of Aleppo in mid-December 2016 is a defeat of the jihadist militias sponsored by the USA and its allies in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates and Libya, to name the most prominent. A victory for imperialism on Aleppo here would have dealt an enormous blow to the Syrian and Middle East working class.

The massive proxy armies bought and equipped by Washington and its regional allies the Saudis, Turkey, Qatar and Israel, have been beaten back by a powerful regional alliance which supports the Syrian nation. http://english.khamenei.ir/news/4463/Liberation-of-Aleppo-represents-US-s-most-serious-setback-in
